Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken:
    • Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the Chicken:
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C).
    • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
  • Make the Garlic Cream Sauce:

    • Add the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
    • Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, thyme, basil, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Combine Chicken and Sauce:
    • Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning some of the sauce over the top.
    • Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for an additional 3-5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  • Serve:
