Ingredients

  • Rigatoni pasta
  • Fresh mushrooms (cremini or button)
  • Heavy cream
  • Garlic
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or thyme)
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the Rigatoni: Boil salted water in a large pot, add rigatoni, and cook until al dente (about 10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté the Mushrooms: In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add sliced mushrooms and cook until golden brown (5-7 minutes).
  3. Add Garlic: Stir in minced garlic along with salt and pepper, cooking until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  4. Create Sauce Base: Pour in heavy cream, stirring until slightly thickened (3-4 minutes).
  5. Combine: Add cooked rigatoni and grated Parmesan to the skillet, tossing until noodles are well coated.
  6. Garnish & Serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle fresh parsley or thyme on top before serving.
