Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil.
2️⃣ Prepare the Salmon: Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down. Season with salt and pepper.
3️⃣ Make the Maple Dijon Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard and maple syrup until well combined.
4️⃣ Prepare the Pecan Crust: In a separate bowl, mix the chopped pecans and breadcrumbs. Drizzle the olive oil over the pecans and breadcrumbs, stirring to combine.
5️⃣ Assemble the Salmon: Brush the maple Dijon mixture generously over the top of each salmon fillet. Sprinkle the pecan-breadcrumb mixture evenly on top of each fillet, pressing gently to adhere.
6️⃣ Bake the Salmon: Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
7️⃣ Serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can marinate the salmon in the maple Dijon mixture for 15–30 minutes before baking.
  • If you prefer a more crispy crust, broil the salmon for the last 2–3 minutes of baking.
  • Serve this dish with a side of roasted vegetables, rice, or a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
  • You can substitute the pecans with other nuts like almonds or walnuts if preferred.
