These mini treats are perfect for parties, holiday gatherings, or whenever you want to impress your guests with a sweet and crunchy dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package phyllo dough (about 20 sheets), thawed
  • 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat the oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a mini muffin tin with butter or non-stick spray.

2️⃣ Prepare the phyllo dough:
Place one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean work surface and brush lightly with melted butter. Place another sheet of phyllo dough on top and brush with more butter. Repeat until you have 4 layers of phyllo dough. Cut the stacked dough into 4-inch squares.

3️⃣ Form the cups:
Press each square of phyllo dough into the cups of the mini muffin tin, gently folding the edges to create a cup shape. Repeat with the remaining dough until you have 12 cups.

4️⃣ Prepare the filling:
In a small bowl, mix the chopped toasted pecans, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon. Spoon the pecan mixture into each phyllo dough cup, filling them generously.

5️⃣ Bake the baklava cups:
Bake the cups for 15–18 minutes, or until the phyllo dough is golden brown and crispy.

6️⃣ Make the caramel sauce:
While the cups are baking, combine the caramel sauce, honey, lemon juice, and water in a small saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring until smooth and heated through.

7️⃣ Drizzle and cool:
Once the baklava cups are done, remove them from the oven and drizzle each with the warm caramel sauce. Allow the cups to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, sprinkle the baklava cups with finely chopped chocolate after drizzling with caramel.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • If you don’t have a mini muffin tin, you can use a standard muffin tin, but adjust the baking time accordingly.
