  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup colorful sprinkles
  • Frosting (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round baking pans.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt until combined.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in half of the colorful sprinkles.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow cooling completely before frosting and decorating with remaining sprinkles.
