  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 cup Sloppy Joe sauce
  • 2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped onions and bell peppers until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, cooking until browned (7-10 minutes). Drain any excess fat.
  4. Stir in the Sloppy Joe sauce until well mixed.
  5. In a bowl, combine the cooked macaroni with half of the cheddar cheese, then fold in the beef mixture gently.
  6. Transfer everything to the greased baking dish, top with remaining cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown. Garnish with parsley before serving.
