  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (divided)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil pasta shells in salted water until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, sauté onions in olive oil over medium heat until translucent (3-4 minutes). Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add ground beef to the skillet; cook until browned (5-7 minutes), then drain excess grease. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Stir in half the marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese until combined.
  6. Stuff each pasta shell generously with the beef mixture and place in a baking dish lined with remaining marinara sauce.
  7. Top with more marinara and sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese on top. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
