  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cooked lobster meat, chopped
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for about 1 minute.
  3. Gradually add the milk, stirring until thickened (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in cheddar cheese until melted.
  4. Fold in the lobster meat and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Combine the macaroni with the cheese-lobster mixture and transfer to a greased baking dish.
  6. Mix panko breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the top.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
