  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Slice the beef sirloin against the grain for tenderness.
  2. In a bowl, marinate the beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over high heat. Add marinated beef and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  4. Remove beef and stir-fry bell peppers and onion for about 3 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Mix sauce ingredients (soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil) in a bowl.
  6. Return beef to the skillet with veggies; pour the sauce over everything and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until well-coated.
