  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu between paper towels to remove excess moisture. Cut into cubes.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, maple syrup, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  3. Toss the tofu cubes in the marinade until well-coated and let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  5. Add marinated tofu cubes to the skillet and cook until golden brown on all sides (about 3-4 minutes per side).
  6. Pour any remaining marinade over the tofu in the pan, stirring gently until coated and sticky.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
