Ingredients

  • All-Purpose Flour
  • Active Dry Yeast
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Whole Milk
  • Unsalted Butter
  • Chopped Pecans
  • Pure Maple Syrup

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit until frothy. Mix in sugar, melted butter, salt, and gradually add flour until a soft dough forms.
  2. Knead on a floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour until doubled.
  3. Prepare filling by mixing brown sugar and cinnamon; melt additional butter. Roll out dough into a rectangle, brush with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and pecans. Roll tightly into a log and slice.
  4. For the topping, heat maple syrup with remaining butter in a saucepan; pour into baking dish and top with pecans.
  5. Arrange sliced buns cut-side down over syrup mixture; cover and let rise for 30 minutes. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes until golden brown.
