  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • Red and blue gel food coloring
  • Powdered sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix granulated sugar, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Divide the dough into three parts. Mix red coloring into one part, blue into another, and leave one plain.
  4. Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll small balls from each colored dough and coat in powdered sugar.
  6. Bake on parchment-lined sheets for 10-12 minutes until puffed but soft in the center.
