  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (plus extra for coating)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup milk (or milk alternative)
  • Parchment paper (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, protein powder, baking powder, sugar, and cinnamon.
  2. Melt butter and let it cool slightly before adding to the dry mixture.
  3. Stir in the egg and milk until you have a smooth dough.
  4. Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle and pipe strips onto parchment paper or directly into the air fryer basket.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Cook churros in a single layer for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Toss warm churros in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon before serving.
