  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix melted butter with cocoa powder and sugar until smooth. Stir in eggs one by one, then fold in flour gently.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. Pour half of the brownie batter into the pan. Spoon dollops of cheesecake mixture on top, followed by the remaining brownie batter. Swirl gently with a knife.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean from the brownie part.
  6. Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares.
