  • 2 tbsp fresh sage, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped (or 1 tsp dried thyme)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground pork, sage, thyme, garlic powder, salt, pepper, maple syrup, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
  2. Shape the mixture into patties about one inch thick.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little oil.
  4. Cook patties for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  5. Drain on paper towels to remove excess grease.
