  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups fresh Granny Smith apples (peeled and chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, beat sugar and eggs until pale and fluffy. Add vanilla and milk; mix gently.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Fold in chopped apples until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let it cool slightly, then poke holes in the cake and soak with a mixture of whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, and heavy cream for at least one hour (overnight preferred).
  8. Whip remaining heavy cream with sugar until soft peaks form; spread over chilled cake.
