  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a food processor, blend basil, garlic, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, and olive oil until smooth.
  3. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lined baking sheet and spread the pesto mixture evenly on one side.
  4. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella over the pesto layer.
  5. Place another puff pastry sheet on top and cut into a tree shape.
  6. Create branches by making slits along the edges without cutting through.
  7. Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
