Garlic Butter Chicken is a simple yet flavorful dish featuring succulent chicken breasts coated in a rich, creamy garlic butter sauce.   • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken:
    • Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  • Cook the Chicken:
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
    • Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
    • Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Add thyme, rosemary, and adjust salt and pepper to taste.
  • Combine the Chicken:
    • Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the chicken to absorb some of the garlic butter sauce.
  • Serve:
    • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Chicken Options: You can also use chicken thighs for a juicier alternative.
  • Herb Variations: Feel free to substitute fresh herbs for dried, using about three times the amount.
  • Consistency: If you prefer a thicker sauce, allow it to simmer a bit longer to reduce, or add a cornstarch slurry (1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water) to thicken it up.
