  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Melt butter in a large bowl; stir in granulated and brown sugars until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  3. Incorporate red food coloring and vanilla extract into the mixture.
  4. Sift together flour and cocoa powder, then fold gently into the wet ingredients.
  5. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until creamy. Add sour cream if desired.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, dollop cheesecake mixture on top, then layer with remaining brownie batter. Swirl gently with a knife.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
