Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak
  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp blackening seasoning
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, mix paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper to create the blackening seasoning.
  3. Rub the steak generously with the seasoning on both sides.
  4. Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat with butter. Sear the steak for 4–5 minutes per side until desired doneness. Remove from pan and let rest before slicing.
  5. In the same skillet, add more butter if needed. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds), then add seasoned shrimp and cook for 3–4 minutes until pink.
  6. Pour heavy cream into the skillet and bring to a simmer while stirring frequently until slightly thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  7. Add cooked pasta, sliced steak, and shrimp to the sauce, mixing well before garnishing with chopped parsley.
