Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries (thawed)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Activate Yeast: In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Make Dough: Mix flour, granulated sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Add yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg. Mix until combined.
  3. Knead: On a floured surface, knead dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Rise: Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for about 1 hour until doubled.
  5. Prepare Filling: Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  6. Roll Out: Punch down dough and roll into a rectangle (12×18 inches). Spread softened butter followed by filling mix and blueberries.
  7. Shape Rolls: Roll tightly from one long edge into a log shape and slice into 12 pieces using dental floss.
  8. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange rolls in a greased baking dish; let rise for another 30 minutes before baking for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar with milk and vanilla; drizzle over hot rolls.
