  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 6 popsicle sticks

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the apples thoroughly. Insert a popsicle stick into each apple's stem end.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, butter, and heavy cream. Stir continuously until bubbling and golden brown (about 10 minutes).
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract carefully.
  4. Dip each apple into the warm caramel, turning to coat evenly. Let excess drip off before placing on parchment-lined baking sheets.
  5. While caramel is warm, add desired toppings to each apple.
  6. Allow the apples to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes until caramel sets.
