Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. In a bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Brush melted butter over the pastry, then sprinkle evenly with the sugar mixture.
  4. Cut the pastry into tree shapes using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  5. Brush each tree with egg yolk for shine and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffy.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar after cooling slightly and serve warm.
