  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter with the milk and salt until bubbly.
  3. Remove from heat and quickly stir in the flour and baking powder until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Allow to cool slightly before adding the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Fold in the shredded cheese gently.
  5. Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop dollops of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed up. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
