  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian-seasoned)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, parsley, garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until just combined.
  2. Form the mixture into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides (about 8–10 minutes).
  4. Add crushed tomatoes to the skillet with meatballs. Stir gently and simmer on low heat for 10–15 minutes.
  5. Just before serving, sprinkle additional fresh parsley on top.
