  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Gruyère cheese
  • 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter.
  2. Thinly slice the Russet potatoes using a mandoline or sharp knife.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Layer half of the potato slices in the baking dish, pour half of the cream mixture over them, and sprinkle half of the cheeses.
  5. Repeat layering with remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and top with remaining cheese.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
