  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (cold, cubed)
  • ½ cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 medium Granny Smith apples (peeled and thinly sliced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a square baking pan lightly.
  2. For the crust, mix flour, granulated sugar, and cold butter in a bowl until crumbly. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
  3. In another bowl, toss apple slices with brown sugar and cinnamon to coat.
  4. Drizzle half the salted caramel sauce over the baked crust. Layer the spiced apple slices on top.
  5. Bake again for an additional 25-30 minutes until apples are tender but firm.
  6. Remove from oven and drizzle remaining caramel sauce over the warm bars. Allow cooling before slicing.
