Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup toasted coconut flakes (unsweetened)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup additional toasted coconut flakes
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition before folding in cocoa powder and flour.
  3. Stir in semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed, spread batter into the prepared pan, and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. While brownies bake, combine toasted coconut flakes with sweetened condensed milk. Once brownies cool slightly, spread this mixture evenly over the top.
  5. Melt dark chocolate chips in the microwave and drizzle over the coconut topping using a fork or piping bag.
  6. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
