  • 1 lb ground beef (lean)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly spray a muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté onions and garlic until translucent (about 3-5 minutes).
  3. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, sautéed onions and garlic, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese until just combined.
  4. Spoon the meat mixture into each muffin cup until about three-quarters full.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
