  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out biscuit dough on a floured surface to about 1/2 inch thick and cut into circles.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté chopped onions in olive oil until translucent. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in ketchup, mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper; simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. On a greased baking sheet, place half the biscuit circles, top each with sloppy joe mixture and shredded cheese.
  6. Cover with remaining biscuit circles and seal edges gently.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
