  • 8 large pasta shells
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Boil salted water and cook pasta shells until al dente; drain.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, crushed tomatoes, garlic, basil, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Fill each shell with the creamy mixture and place in a baking dish.
  4. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add remaining crushed tomatoes and season; simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Layer half the sauce in the baking dish, add stuffed shells, top with remaining sauce and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes until bubbly. Garnish with extra basil before serving.
