  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (for serving)
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese (shredded)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef and Italian sausage until well combined.
  3. Add breadcrumbs, eggs, Parmesan cheese, basil, and oregano; mix gently until just combined.
  4. Spread half the meat mixture on parchment paper or in the baking dish. Create an indentation down the center and fill with shredded mozzarella.
  5. Cover the cheese with the remaining meat mixture, shaping it into a loaf.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C) and the top is golden brown.
