  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
  • ½ cup white chocolate or icing (for spider web decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir in granulated and brown sugars until well combined.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then whisk in eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Sift together flour and cocoa powder, then gradually fold into the wet mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Gently fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean. Let cool completely.
  7. Melt white chocolate or icing and pipe spider web designs on top of cooled brownies.
