  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, chili powder, honey, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the marinated chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Remove chicken from skillet; add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (30 seconds).
  5. Pour the remaining marinade into the skillet with garlic; bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet along with chopped cilantro. Toss everything together until well coated.
