  • 15 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
  • Zest and juice of 2 fresh lemons
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/2 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, lemon zest, lemon juice, and half of the grated Parmesan until smooth.
  4. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream with remaining Parmesan; stir until bubbling gently.
  5. In a baking dish, layer some creamy sauce at the bottom, followed by noodles and half the ricotta mixture. Repeat layers and finish with remaining sauce.
  6. Mix breadcrumbs with olive oil and sprinkle over the top layer.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
